What's happened to VICK(S)?
29 Answers
Remembering the old joke of "rubbing Vic on your chest!" ..........Its years since I bought Vick VabourRub or Vicks as it is now known as. As I have a blocked nose at the mo caused by either a cold or hayfever I decided to try some steam inhalation as it used to be very good years ago. I bought a jar of Vick from Boots at a staggering cost of £4.55 (yes really!) and thought "O well, if it works, money well spent!) I put some on a tissue and its such a weak smell now compared to years ago, I could hardly smell it at all (it wasn't my blocked nose, as my OH said he could hardly smell it either!) Have they watered it down - it used to blow your brains out! Seems pretty useless ....................

Probably Boots or any leading chemist can supply. I think Vicks original as been mucked about with as it is weaker than when we were kids, also some cough relief products are not as powerful as they were. A sign of the times !!
