Thank you note re dad's heart surgery...

to all of you who gave me advice regarding my dad's heart surgery - he's now home and on the mend a week after 7 hour surgery - not bad for a 75 year old! he ended up having a valve replacement, an ascending aorta replacement and two other things that i can't remember. I came on here in a bit of a panic on a couple of occasions, so just want to say thanks to those of you who put my mind at rest. It all came out alright in the end! Thanks xxx

Excellent news Nini, being completely helpless when a loved one is in the hands of others is the worst part about it. It's amazing what a week can do in good care. I hope he continues to recover well now he's back at home.x
Wishing your Dad a speedy recovery, Nini
That is brilliant news Nini. It must be a great relief to you all. I am sure your dad's improvement in health will soon be evident :)
Glad to hear that he is on the mend. Did he have a blood transfusion at all? If so then he must give thanks to all those kind lovely blood donors.
