nostril odour

my left nostril has a nasty smell, and is really sore and very bunged up with mucus its been like it for about a year. has anyone suffered similar symptons or can advise me what it could be. thankyou.

No I haven't but excluding a foreign body that you might or might not have pushed up at some time, the first thing that comes to mind is sinusitis.

There are many other much less common reasons, but make an appointment to see your GP.
