I've been toying with the idea for quite a while now and I'm wondering would a beard suit me? I'm a little worried about stubble rash on my girlfriend who has very sensitive skin and I'm also worried about itchiness and grooming but I'm sick of my current look which I've had for years. so what are the pro's and cons for beard growing?

I'm baffled why you're asking us to be honest roger. As you seem intent on growing one regardless of what we say, and that's how it should be to be frank (who?).

Just grow the damn thing, if it looks a mess, shave it off- simples.

Well like I said I'll grow a small one and work my way up to the larger more complex ones and at the end of the day if it irritates my girlfriends skin too much or if I dislike it I can always shave it off and start again or not so many thanks to everyone that has responded.
