When I put nail varnish on, sometimes it dries slightly bubbly, this is really infuriating as i sit for AGES until it has dries properly, to realise that it has came out with little bubbles on????

Youre putting your layers on too thick.

Far better to put several thin layers on, than one thick one.

Thick, sorry!
put your nails as soon as you have painted them into a bowl of ice cold water leave for 30 seconds and this should speed up drying and prevent bubbles
If it's tiny little air bubbles, it's because the bottle of varnish is being shaken before it is applied. Try rolling it between your hands instead of shaking it
I was once told it's because your nails are not completely dry when you apply the varnish. Your nails retain some moisture after you've washed your hands. I used to get the bubbles all the time as I used to remove varnish, wash my hands to get the remover smell off and then apply new varnish. Now I wait with washing hands till varnish has dried.
