On how to catch a hampster. My sons has escaped and hes hiding in the kitchen. We know this cos we did a bit of night video and there he was waving his little butt at the camera. We have left a deep box with a ramp and food in it hoping he'll be daft enough to fall for it but this little cretin makes Houdini look like an amature. He got out of a completely closed cage. Just incase this doesn't work does anyone else have any suggestions. preferably catching him alive. Thanks in advance
Hee , typical hamster behaviour , little minx . Ours a few years ago escaped , named Tilly Houdini , and disappeared in the kitchen wall cavity for 3 days , we left a few bits of dried food on the floor , and a little food dish too and eventually she came out looking hungry and thirsty and was easy to catch. I then changed the cage for a big glass fish tank that was impossible to climb up . Good luck.

I used to know someone who bred hamsters and was mortified when a friend gave her a special birthday present, a cross-stich of a hamster with a little poem. Unfortunately hamster was spelt as hampster throughout!
