read a thread on here earlier and someone replied with "dont let him think you cant live without him" (not a direct quote)

how many of us have been in a position where we genuinely believed we couldnt live without someone?

i have, more than once. then theres a sort of realisation that you have lived without someone you thought you couldnt.

time is a healer, but not a cure.

Luckily I have always remained independant and aware of myself as an individual, not just part of a couple. Thats not to say I wouldnt be absolutely devastated to lose my partner, but I know I would get through it. I think its important to have your own time, friends and interests so if it all goes wrong you are not left alone.
i was with my ex. after i had been seeing him for a while i found out he had girlfriend, was raising her kid as his own, treated me like s**t was a total player, used me for what he could get and i could not ever see how i could get over him ever. The day i said goodbye to him i know what people meant my your heart breaking and i saw no way of living without him. That lasted about 9 months, i just walked round like a zombie didnt care about anything esp not myself. But after that i realise that if i survived losing him i can survive losing anybody!!
I totally agree, it is amazing how strong people can be,and to tell someone that you can not live without them seems a bit OTT and also may appear rminapulative. If i was told that I would run for the hills !.When in a relationship you should be a full rounded individual and not totally dependent on another human being to give your life meaning or to make you happy.

Believe me, it's an illusion. An incredibly strong one if married and bereaved, for instance, but though we are designed to share our lives, our actual potential partners are endless.

Living alone is the worst possible way unless you choose it, and that is far more the reason than any 'who' you are sharing it with. I'd be happy even sharing with a friend or family member if single, and wait till I meet someone. That makes a lot more difference than who I'm hooked up with, as I've had and lost both (except living with a partner) and I trained myself to get over losing any woman within 24 hours. I survived without them before I met them, so I do after. It saved me a lot of wasted time since that decision.

In My case its not so much I cant live without Him , I just simply really miss him and how he makes me laugh, watching him sleep , layin my hand on his chest to stop him snoring {my GAWD how he snored !!!}
I just miss him , and I want him back home .
