Hi there, I have recently had real hair extensions put in and although i am happy enough with them i feel they look a bit "woolly" when i dry them so i am tending not to wear my hair down which kind of defeats the purpose of getting them in the first place. Does anyone else have experience of extensions and can you give me any advice how to better care for them please?

Hi again Eeeek! When I had mine I used fabric conditioner instead of hair conditioner after washing. Comfort, Lenor, whatever. It helped a lot.
Hiya - sorry I'm just a bit fascinated by the above re using fabric conditioner on the hair extensions. With them being real hair would this really work better than normal hair conditioner? Would it work for naturally long hair too? Your natural sebum in your scalp is meant to keep your hair waterproof etc, so is it inadequate for long hair, or is it just inadequate if you get suddenly long hair i.e. by having extensions? (aside from the fact that most of us wash the sebum off when we shampoo)
how much did they cost you i really want some hair extensions for my prom and really want to know if they are worth there money and look good
Hi Piper. The reason to use fabric conditioner is that they weren't real hair. They were something fake, man-made, hence the Lenor did the trick just fine.
