Funnily enough Mr R noticed the same thing. They must be hyper, the amount they drink lol. Thoroughly enjoyed the books too

I thought exactly the same thing, everyone had a coffeemaker and Blomquivst (sp) just seemed to survive on coffee, sandwiches and the cigarettes. And of course Salander went to Ikea to furnish her new apartment. I enjoyed the books although the last one (Hornets nest) seemed to be a a bit tortourous as if it needed fine-tuning. Does anyone know what Larsson died of.

I think he had a heart attack ayg. Its a real shame tat he didn't see the success of his books, and that we never get more of his work

Haven't read the books so can't vouch for the amount but yes we do like our coffee. But cops and journalists knocking black coffee back and suffering from ulcers is a crime fiction cliche as well isn't it.
Say ten years ago the coffee culture exploded over here (Stockholm). At a lot of coffee houses you were able to choose from at least ten different styles - macchiato, espresso, latte, Americano, and so on. This time of year the bigger brands all produce their own Christmas flavour. Might be cardamom, cinnamon and vanilla for instance, or cloves, cardamom and cherries, or... you name it. Sometimes you don't know if you're drinking coffee or mulled wine. I prefer mine black and strong. "They must be hyper", well, Rosetta, I take umbrage at that! This is me BTW http://i53.tinypic.com/15q7vi9.jpg ;-) 4p.m. is our average sunset time? I never knew, AnetteJet, and I am surprised. The sun sets so late in summer, in the north of Sweden it doesn't always set at all... This is for June in Stockholm http://www.timeanddat...obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1 Where did you find that piece of information? |

Also Apple Macs. I just finished the first book and Macs are mentioned all the time. There's one passage where there's a whole breakdown of the spec of Lisbeth's new Mac. It reads like an ad. I think they must have had some kind of sponsorship deal going :-) Lucky old them, how I'd love a new iMac in my Christmas stocking.
