I have found a certificate and a badge that shows that my Great-grandfather was a member of this club. I would like to know a bit more about this organisaton, but I can't find a thing on the internet. Does anyone know of any good sites?
Is this a predecessor of the Magic Circle?

I have done a search in google for "Unique Magicians Club" (WITH the quotes as this searches for the whole string) and found quite a few sites that mention it. Click below to do this google search.

Most seem to be old books where the author is said to be "Past President of the Unique Magicians' Club" or similar

This web site mentions it briefly.

Abracadabra! and it was solved?
Im 52 now - bit when I was about 16 I used to go to monthly meeting at what (if memopry serves) was the club you are talking about....I believe (again if memory serves) it was held in Clerkenwell road London.....i was underneath a shop i think - you had to go down a spiral staircase to get into the club room.....the guy in charge (again if memory serves !) was called Hugh Caddy...I used to have (prob still have it)..a lapel pin and a plastic membership card which i think said 'The Magicians Club London' (but i believe that was also known as the 'unique magicians club' - if i think of anything else ill send another message !!! Oh...and after the meeting all the magicians went to the pub
I used to be a member of this club (fairly sure it was the same one - but i knew it as 'The Magicians Club London' - it was (i think) in Clerkenwell Road, London - meeting were once a month - it resided beneath a shop (i think !)....and you accessed the club room via a spiral staircase - I had a lapel pin...and a platic membership card with the words (i tyhink !!!) 'The Magicians Club London' on it - the guy in charge was called Hugh Caddy...I was 16 at the time (52 now !)... so im doing my best here with my memory !
