Does anyone know of a website where you can buy used books or texts books for certain courses. Just got my reading list for next year and thinking that its ALOT of money..

It's also worth trying
www.greenmetropolis.com where every book sold helps to grow a new tree to replace it!
and
www.readitswapit.co.uk where you list all the books you don't want and can swap them ones you do - just costs the postage to send the swap!
Both great sites for "green" reading!

www.abebooks, already mentioned, is good, but what I think is even better is www.addall.com, which is a huge umbrella type site, containing the catalogues of abebooks, as well as other similar sites such as alibris. They have details of new and used books in thousands of shops all over the world (mainly the English-speaking world). I live in England and once found a book I was desperately searching for in the back of beyond in Alaska using Addall. It never fails to be helpful.
