it"s on at the Gielgud theatre in London it has good reviews from critics but a p stewart fan travelled from Spain to see it and in his letter to the telegraph it was awful just want to see what others think as the tickets are expensive
The 'Sunday Times' - who know about this sort of thing - refer to PS's performance as a 'career best' - if that helps your decision.
Have only heard good things - seeing it on the 6th.

thank you all perhaps quizmonkey you can give me your verdict after you have seen it.
May be too late now.. but it's stunning. Very little to criticise which is rare when I see Shakespeare - apparently Patrick S had a bad throat on the night I saw it (we drank with some of the cast after who are friends) and was below par but I noticed nothing amiss. The way the banquet scene is treated is clever and original; the whole setting never jars; the second prophesies by the witchy nurses are 'channelled' through corpses in bodybags - truly chilling; Lady M's sleepwalk involves scrubbing with neat bleach and a tap running pure blood...and so much more. Can't recommend it too highly.
