Morning everyone
This time yesterday it was quite light as in I could walk around the house without the need of turning on lights.
This morning it’s pitch black?
I would have thought it would be lighter!

It's an hour earlier, it's really 5am
I mean it's really an hour earlier than the time on your clock.
Today it is 6 am but 24 hours ago it was 5am

See it’s sounds simple but I still can’t wrap my head round it.
Why put the clocks forward if it makes it darker?
I thought it was supposed to make it lighter and benefit people
It will give us lighter evenings, we don't need it to be light at 3am in June.
The clocks go back in autumn to give us lighter mornings

Thanks Barry it guzzles my brain lol
My whole life RH I have had difficulty adjusting to the different times, I like you say, this time yesterday and it takes me about 3 days, my poor Mother - God rest her - I think she used to pull her hair out with forward and backward time changes because of me ha the only good thing about this morning - the birds seem louder than ever singing away and it's lovely, I changed all my clocks yesterday morning to be kinda ready for today
Question Author
I struggle with the adjustment too, my heating went on at the normal time when I know I had a conversation about leaving it so it comes on an hour later.
I always leave one clock unchanged.
Then 6 months or so later I know if it's forwards or backwards.

But isn’t that more confusing?
I also didn’t realise you change the clocks down there!
Every day is a school day
But really all you have to do is look at your mobile phone, they know everything;-)
Not if only one clock is wrong!!
Question Author
Normally I look at my watch as it is linked to my phone, but I went to bed wearing it and now it’s gone!! Can’t find it anywhere
Is this a pantomime thing and we all shout "look behind you"?
Question Author
Already looked behind, under me on top etc etc and cannot find the blasted thing
Will your watch make a noise if your phone rings?
I wouldn't know,,
I just spent way too long resetting the timers on the chicken coops :/ Trying to factor in how light/dark it will be when they open and close has hurt my brain hahaha

Have a fabulous day everyone x
I prefer the light in the evening. I wish they would just stick on GMT+1 and not change the clocks.
I rather like the idea of a self "correcting" clock that changed subtly during sleep hours so sunrise was always at the same "clock time". No sudden jumps in Spring & Autumn, mornings all the same, and one can just marvel at how the evenings get lighter and darker. Before we had clocks we must have gone by the sun, so it should be so much more natural. (And there is always "Internet time" to convert to if one has to arrange international meetings or whatever.)
Lighter tonight.... Today's 6am was yesterday's 5am, add in the rubbish weather..
Question Author
We have lovely weather but I went back to sleep and woke up really confused and doddering.
Is it possible to have too much sleep?
