I like it, he is confiding in her, promising better things to come. She is comfortable with him, trusts him

I do think the accordion is a bit small.

Nicely composed, good background
I think the accordion is fine, but her right hand is a bit small. None of that matters. The style is very primitive, but I like the emotion. Her face is flat. None of that matters.
If you continue, you will produce some good work.
Keep it up.
I like the naive style, it has a lovely simplicity and clarity.
You've certainly got plenty of talent but, coming at it from the perspective of someone who's studied the framing of shots in photography, I'd like to see the 'camera position' rather lower, so that the line of trees on the horizon drops to behind the couple's head (i.e. roughly in line with the top of the man's ear) and the woman seems to be looking towards the 'camera'. I'd also turn the 'camera' just a little to the left, so that there's just a bit more of the lake visible alongside the man's shoulder.
I think that's really ambitious, but you manage to pull it off.
I've always thought life drawing is possibly the hardest style there is.

The way they both hold their bodies really works. Especially her head.
His head is maybe a little off. A bit stiff and unnatural.
My only beef is with the (over) use of colour.
This would work so much better in simple black and white.

Well done for putting it up :o)
I agree with The Builder. The colour and lightness / darkness needs softening somehow.

However, I love the emotion you capture. Not easy to do I wouldn't think.
I think there is just something wrong with the eyes - I would have liked to have seen the couple actually looking at each other.

Having said that, who am I to criticize - useless at artwork!
To me it looks like you have tried to copy the style of Van Gogh. I do quite like it although I wouldn't have it on my wall. Did you get bored when doing the man's trousers - it seems like you stopped doing the material folds from the thigh down. Mind you I am totally useless at art so no right to comment.
Leaving aside the technicalities, I saw some of David Hockney's work a few days ago (he was on the telly for some reason). Yours is far better than anything of his that I saw.
NJ; I suppose DH is a Gay remainer, so you've hit the right side of the coin. :-)
Hereto... You must be well chuffed. A new judge has spoken! :-)
I quite like it. The emotion between them comes through. Technically, upper body area is much better...I like how she leans into him, and the strength in his arms,
It looks like you ran out of steam when doing legs and trousers.
pasta; I think the legs and trousers are very good. It's interesting that different people have diiferent views.
for me, it's the accordion and all the hands that need to be a little bigger...one rule is that hand length from the wrist to the top of the middle finger equate to the chin to the hairline. The troos etc are fine, not sure about the white nostril on the bloke - otherwise interesting and nicely coloured.
First let me say I don't see any likeness to Vincent van Gogh, and very little to David Hockney. IMHO it continues the style (which I called "primitive", but I'm no expert) of your earlier work, which could become your oeuvre.

Keep going
A touch of the Van Gogh's was the first thing that occurred to me. Some of the body positioning seemed a bit awkward - there was obviously some drama somewhere between the pair or the situation they were in.
NJ I don't suppose you'll be able to get to Saltaire and see the Hockney permanent home and exhibition. I grew up around there (once pushed a tea-trolley around the mill) so had plenty of opportunity of seeing him develop. His work now needs to be seen in relation to that progression i.m.o..
The female figure looks very much like an actress, I've been wracking my brains but just can't think of her name
Am I thinking of the comedian Zoe Lyons?
While this artwork's post looks great, it was fun to edit:
