HI, Does anyone know how i can record what i draw in flash 6 then play it back for instance i want to grab my mouse draw a pic and as i do the timeline is automatically filled / goes to the next frame. rather than having to go draw stop F6 etc. i tried just drawing and hitting F6 very fast but this doesnt work. all i want to do is draw a car journey on a map (boring i know - but it has to be done) like in indian jones when the plane flies and leaves a red line behind. Thanks Dudes - Mintox

AFAIK, you're stuck with using a mask. Draw the line on one layer, and then put a mask on the following layer. Then animate the mask to gradually reveal the line with the car's movement.

Ta for that i was hoping there be some way to do it not using a mask as they never seem to work with me. but i think that it be a really good feature of Flash - i could use my tablet to sign my web pages - cheesy i know but it be funky and other stuff as well. i think ill check our macros site and see if there be a plug in. failing that i best go read up on masks - sigh
