Can someone explain this answer to me. I know it's right, but can't for the life of me understand how it goes with the clue. I'm sure I'll wonder why I couldn't see it once I'm told. Thanks in advance.

Should have said; A (blood) vessel

Thanks folks. I got the myself, but couldn't figure the rest. I was thinking of a boat, why I didn't think of blood vessel heaven knows. I'm guessing the "duck" is from cricket and a duck means zero. Thanks again.
