I guess you use Amazon UK, so why is Gift Card in $'s ?
Probably- it depends whether you have an account, whether it was addressed to you personally and whether it was genuinely from amazon.
I get quite a few claiming to be from Tesco, M&S etc offering vouchers/win £500 free shopping but closer inspection show they are from overseas and don't seem to know my name
Me too, factor - I just delete them all.

Whether it's honest or not I'll not bother with it. I haven't bought anything from them for a long while.
Some of these surveys are kosher ( I suspect not many) but they are disappointing because often you start the survey, fill in lots of details, and just before you finish, the website decides you are not eligible for the survey, and chucks you off . Some surveys only want specific people in specific jobs or specific age groups, such as professional women in their 30's or people with their own homes approaching retirement.
More bother than they are worth.
I have had a few e mails saying they are from Amazon They say that they will freeze my account unless I respond immediately. They have used an ancient e mail address, and there are various spelling mistakes. Has anyone had one of these? I ignored the mail but did send it on to Amazon
