For those of you with younger children, how hideously early are you preparing to get up tomorrow?

Told Mini Boo she can get up anytime from 7.00 onwards. She's got permission to open her stocking stuff, and luckily for us, she'll amuse herself with those till a reasonable time.

Mind you, last year she got up at 10!
Does that mean that you've not got any gin to slip into their cocoa tonight then, Sherrardk?
;-)

I've a feeling that the 13 year old is going to be up first. I'm also going to impose a 7 am time limit.

Well that's OK then. He can look after his siblings while you have a long lie in ;-)
The cat, as usual, will demand her breakfast at 8:30 am sharp.
the earliest my children got up was 5.45am, I wonder how you can manage to get your to stay in bed until 7am.
We have one daughter who is just coming up to 18. We have had to wake HER up, every year, at about 10.30 - 11.00, so that we can open presents and start preparing dinner. Not sure whether we have been lucky or missed out somewhere along the line. (Wouldn't swop her though).

AA - I just said to them, don't get up before 7 or you'll be too tired to enjoy our day, simples.
I'm glad mine have gone through the excited stage, tomorrow will mean me being up at 8am to put the turkey in the oven, then walk the dog, then come home and wake the kids up, probably around 9.30.

I remember one Christmas about 4 years ago, they got up at 3am, they got told to get back in bed, little sods.

5.30-6.00am was the usual Christmas morning time.
Gawd, I'm glad those days are over for me and the mrs, we have to get the two that are still at home up now !.
We were never allowed to open a present until after we got home from Church.
That is why I started to go to Midnight Mass.

The things have tried so hard today to ensure their place on the 'good list'. They made all the beds (which I had to remake) and choose their own clothes - thing 1 nearly keeled over in her thermal top until I made her change it. She tried to get my clothes out too and informed me she had put my boobs on the bed (she meant my bra).
Same as Sherr, she gets told that if she wakes any earlier she'll be too zonked by tea time, and therefore will miss the Xmas Day Night party.

She doesn't mind, normally too busy playing with the stocking stuff.
First up to set up Good Morning Early Birds.....then we have the record of when the sproglets are moving!
I miss those days, enjoy them while you can.
Go fast so quickly don't they giveup?

Think Mini Boo doesn't 'believe' any more, but she still goes along with it all- just in case, lol.
Mine have been up at 4:30 before, we've sometimes sent them back to bed til six. It'll be my 16 yr old up first i think. She'll soon wake everyone up.

Mt 13 year old is probably the most excited. He's been tracking Santa on the NORAD thing and he has been thoroughly warned not to wake the others up before 8 but can wind them up if they wake up by themselves after 7.
