Do any ABer's read "The Destroyer" series of novels?

I was thinking about the 1985 movie "Remo Williams: Unarmed and Dangerous" the other day, and discovered that it was based on this series of books, and that there's over 100 of them.Anyone familiar?

I've seen them for sale on Amazon, but wonder if they're any good...

I've got quite a few of them. Corgi (now Transworld) published the first few over here and then gave up. Quality varies greatly, as the original writers farmed out the series to a number of ghostwriters after a while. A lot of them are good fun though (but hardly literary masterpieces!).

If I get time (got to go to work), I'll try to recommend a few. You might want to check out http://www.destroyerclub.com/

I read them years ago, I seem to remember that they are so bad, they are actually quite good!
