White dog poo is mainly made up of chalky bone, but with the reduction in dogs being given bones, it is less likely to be seen.
You do, however, see an awful lot of people repeating 1980's observation comedy routines about it.
Its also to do with the fact that before the 90's it wasn't seen as so socially unacceptable to let your dog do a toilet on the street and just leave it. Dog poo in general back then was much more common. So its essentially 2 factors, 1. the chalky bone 2. you don't see a great deal of dog poo anyway.
And 3. What you used to see was also owl pellets and there aren't as many owls around in towns these days.
When I was a kid I always thought that Dalmations did white dog poo! :)
There's plenty in my back garden if you wanna take a look
My next-door neighbour has a white dog, and it's just had a dump in our garden - I'll send you it if you like!
