I have just finished reading my latest mag with it's true life stories. You know 'husband ran off with my 16 year daughter' 'my husband the rapist' those sort of stories.

I have never met anyone I know personally who has featured in these stories, have you?

Some of these stories are really lurid.
Would you want your personal business splashed out in these mags and newspapers?

No, I wouldn't want my personal business in those mags; but I know they truly happen.
They are intriguing, salacious, sordid; sometimes real life, sometimes not.
But these things happen.
Bringing those things to the public can hopefully help the innocent.
I dont know why anyone would want to spread there personal life across newspapers and magazines! its disgusting, but shows that some people will do anything for money! my partner at the time got sent to jail for a crime that i believe that he did not commit and was in the wrong place at the wrong time but unfortuantly he got convicted of murder and his ex girlfriend sold her story to magazines and newspapers and i think it is discusting! i got offers from national newspapers for my story, some vast amounts of money, but would never dare let the world read stories about my personal life!! i think its tacky and shallow!!!
Unfortunately, my family appeared in one of these magazines in a story submitted by a third party.
We were given no 'right-of-reply' and the person concerned pushed copies of the magazine through every door in in the street, too. It then made it into the local paper and one of the 'dailies' sent a photographer round..............he rang the doorbell but when no answer was forthcoming he sat in his car for hours. Luckily, for us, a local bobby sent him away with a flea in his ear..........
It was a truly horrible and distressing time for us.
The most worrying thing is that people buy this toilet paper.
im amazed at some of the things folk actually get up to .
its just trash news .
but youve gotta admit some of it is so weird you just gotta laugh.

strangely its mostly women that buy these magazines.

what does that tellus if anything ?

What does it tell you then, Legend????
I only buy these mags for the beauty/cookery/fashion articles!!!!
These stories are really out there are more common than you may think.
My best friend became friends with a woman who shortly afterwards became traumatised by seeing her husband jailed for long term abuse of their son and daughter. My friend supported her, even inviting her for Xmas, when her children turned against her for not protecting them. Her relationship with the now adult children restored, my friends hardly hears from her.

While she supported this friend, a close friend from school days called her to say her husband had been arrested by the police for sexual offences against youngsters, including their son and daughter. Her children similarly ostracised her until later years.

It is astonishing that someone with a very small circle of friends should experience 2 situations so similar.

What is dissimilar is that husband 1 was jailed for a few years in the UK. The other husband is American and he is still in jail and has been told they have thrown the key away.
My sister married a two headed pig and my .granny gave birth to twins when she was 84 That sort of thing
its no different from the likes of Jeremy Kyle etc, airing
your dirty washing in public so to speak
me personally i would never share my private business
with all and sundry

No different from Body & Soul, it would seem.
