I am using the www.trenitalia.com website to view train times as I will be travelling from venice-florence and then florence-pisa by train in late july. I cannot book the tickets yet for travel on the last week of July.
There is not much of a price difference between 1st and 2nd class, I was wondering if anyone who has travelled on either of these could tell me what the differences are between them?

I've only very limited experience of trains in Italy but, from what I've seen, 2nd class is rather like bus travel (usually in two-deck coaches). 1st class gives you more space and comfier seating.

Go First Class - for only a few difference it is worth it!
