to get lost using a sat-nav or google maps (on phone)
PLEASE!!!
Sat-Nav sent me to wrong part of city, Google map on phone seemed to be lagging behind by a 1/4 of a mile at least. Had a **** of a day trying to get from place to place.
I'd never make a taxi driver, thats for sure. Parts of my own city I never knew existed...
//give me an actual map any day//
Ah!, the days when things were simple.
I used to drive a 7 1/2 truck about the midlands. Had a basic map and asked for directions when we got there,
Now, I dont know my own city,
Must be my age or something?
I have been sent through a building site, a part of which was still woodland being clear felled. Apparently the road had been registered as part of the development process and it was registered a bit early!
Frim my experience of our fair city, and indeed any city, you can know where you want to go, the hard part is discovering which roads are actually going to get you there.
I remember asking a man directions in Birmingham and he started to point the way I was going. Then he asked if i wanted to drive there, and when i confirmed that i did, he about-faced and recomennced directions in the complete opposite direction!
You were no doubt somewhere in the hell hole that is neck end. Not only do the people out there shape shift, but overnight the buildings and roads are all jumbled up in a sort of time space glitch. It also happens to the faces of the inhabitants.
//Where've you been today then?//
Well, it was yesterday now (if you know what I mean) but it was everywhere from The Guild Hall in Cheadle to a school in Audley.
//I want to see if I could get there without a Sat Nav.//
Sure you could if youve got an A-Z Tills ;-) Cant beat 'em!
//Wrekin. Sorry to correct you Nails but I couldn't let that go//
And neither should you, my bad.
//Is your sat-nav up-to- date?//
I would hope so Corby, its only a few months old but who knows?
Interestingy when we first purchased it, I had both my phone and sat nav on at the same time and both gave different directions to the same place...one gave a right turn, the other gave a left turn etc., dont know how that works as surely they BOTH employ the same technology to function?
Straight through "Castle" Tills. Unless there was a Tunstall drop right along the old Longton Lane. Knew he had been disorientated up there at neck end.
