This happens a lot with both food and plants - my rule of thumb is a Dictionary is a favoured resource rather than a cookery site or gardening manual.

I may be wrong of course.

Fair enough Cap'n, I stopped looking after 3 dictionaries. Of course, the setter could be using food/recipe sites for reference, I've had this chat here before ;-)

I went through the same mental argument and plumped for Jalapeño
