...Can anyone help me with information about this artist.All I can find is he was British and died in 1926. I have an etching of St Thomas's Hospital viewed from the far side of the River Thames. It is undated but would probably be late 19th early 20th century.It is signed by this artist and is also an 'Artist's Proof' number 31.Thanks in anticipation

Although there are references to C Stanly Pollitt, died 1926, there is also an artist Charles Stanley Pollitt, born 2nd quarter 1888 in Barton upon Irwell, Lancashire, died 1965, who was a pupil of William Holman Hunt. Unfortunately my subscription to Ancestry has expired and therefore I cannot access the censuses to ascertain if they were farther and son or not. Perhaps if you post a question on the Genealogy section, one of the other ABers may be able to check for you. Otherwise there is very little information about this artist on the internet. If you took the etching to an art dealer they should be able to give you further information.
