Ed, can you suggest a reason why a thread that turns into a punch-up in Chatterbank is, for the most part, removed, yet endless similar threads in News are allowed to remain?

AOG gives Ed bj's and is therefore allowed to say what he likes in NEWS. Whereas in CB we are not tarts.

McMouse, for all the good it'll do, i have marked yours as 'best answer'. Ô¿Ô
Actually, naz, that's a darn good point !

He obviously believes that his threads are news items, themselves..............:o)

At least it's been made clear by Higher Powers that if we want a bloody good slanging match, to post it in News and call it a debate, rather than Chatterbank where it would be misconstrued as merely a 'grudge'. <wink>

^ Shut up and stop stirring it you sheep sha88ing Welsh tart...

Anyway, back to today's news headlines... Edinburgh Zoo has got a Panda...
Question Author
A Panda, you say?

<cleverly diverting attention away from possible PETA intervention>
Yes... the first time a Panda has lived in this Country for over 17 years...

And no... they aren't as friendly as sheep so hands off...
edinburgh has a got a zoo ? now that is news.
Edinburgh IS the Zoo...
Question Author
Expect the adult Pandas to be appearing on JK soon for the obligatory Scottish DNA Test.
as usual Britain is a soft touch for would-be immigrants. Why could this job not have gone to one of our locally-produced pandas?
perhaps its time to add a new catagory - batterbank...for people cruising for a rumble

that way all the arguments can stay for the people who like to read them - like myself and many others if we are honest with ourselves...

personally i think many of them are hilarious...and this site woudl be dull without them

or perhaps aggrobank??
Our local pandas are workshy jno. They think sitting in a zoo is beneath them, which is why we have to import the nice eastern european ones. Our local Pandas would rather sit at home chewing bamboo and watching their huge flatscreen tellys.

So ... adult debate or childish sniping at each other? ... which is it?

The 2 questions above, belong in Sport and Chatterbank imo.

but some users think chatterbank is below them.
I had to lol when AOG popped over at XMas, and started a thread so we could all wish him a Merry Xmas. I felt honoured.
" a better class of posters in news " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the news " debates " remain because any news is better than no news .and apart from chatterbank it is ticking over at quiet times,
I quite like AOG.

His steadfastly sticks to his sometimes oddball look on life, no matter what rational arguments they incur.

His dogged determination is kinda sweet.

Sorta.
Anne -we're gonna run out of exclamation marks at this rate.
