When I use the search function and click the 'Web' option I get the site search, and for the 'Site' option I get the Web search. Just wondered if this was intended?

Just realised too that the actual web search (click site) is far better than the site search (click web). Time I found something better to do!!
lotty, the site function is currently using google, but is purely searching on the site.

the web function is still using the answerbank search buttons (only the site one broke) and therefore shows an answerbank page but the results are from the WWW, not just AB.

does that make sense??
I agree. When you end up at Google it is much easier to follow.

So - they got something right but by mistake!

Oh!, I see - well I think I see ??? :o(
redcrx - probably your answer does make sense but I got lost half way through it. Who cares why it works? I care only that it does!
it was a deliberate change to the site search because it wasnt working well. I think the next version of AB will be when they change it back

Well if they just left the one option available (i.e. the present 'Site' option which is actually the web option and just said 'Click here' that would be OK wouldn't it. Or is that too simple!! My head hurts now!!!!
