Apparently, we've all been shopping on the Internet instead. What do stores expect? I was shopping in a supermarket a week before Christmas and they had half of their 16 checkouts open! The queues were ridiculous. I then went to Primark on Sunday, for stocking fillers, and found 2 checkouts open downstairs and 2 upstairs - they have about 14 in all. If shops want us back, then personally, I think they've got to make shopping an easier experience for us.
