Hi there - I answered a question in food section there and I got two stars rating beside my answer. What does this mean.

means it wasnt quite a 3 star answer :)

its just a way of people saying how helpfull your answer was.

That means that you gave an answer that the question setter thought wasn't exactly right but was pretty close. Star ratings go from 0 (totally wrong or unrated) to 3 (spot on correct).

It's at the discretion of the question setter though. Many don't bother with the stars.
