For some reason google has put everything in the drive into the trash bin.

im trying to put it all back - but i cannot find a way to 'select all' anywhere - All it seems to be alloweing me to do it select one item & restore that - one at a time...there are 1000s of files.
i manually scrolled & scrolled for ages then selected a huge chunk of them - but on 'right click' instead of offering 'restore or delete - it brought up the standard right click menu!
The drive is no remotely full - about 2gb out of 15.

How can i select them all at once?

ive tried all sort of clikcing on things, right button, even the select all in the browser menu - nothing.

I cannot just scroll down & select by holding down the select button - it took an eternity & stopped responding properly as it took so long - so i still couldnt select them with the shift button.

HEELLLPPP!

thanks :)

Also im on a windows 10 laptop, so long pressing isnt possible

also ctrl -A selects only the 'loaded' files - it'd still need me to scroll down through all of them.

why isnt there a restore all option?

I don't know laptops, but is there an equivalent of clicking on one item and then clicking on a second while holding down the shift key so that all the ones between them are highlighted?

jno - yes, but that'd need me to scroll individually through them all, which took well over an hour to do by hand - to keep moving the scroll button an inch at a time & wait for the next lot to appear.

I meant if you clicked the one at the top of a page, you could then click on the one at the bottom and remove the whole pageful at once; at least that's what I can do on my desktop, but I don't know i f it works for laptops.

yes, i know, thats what i mean - but to get to the file at the bottom, id have to scroll down & down & down for ages. there are 1000s of files

Just a guess but can you right press Ctrl+A on your keyboard to select all files in the directory ?
