We recently had new skirting boards fitted and this was used by the joiner so I did get today’s word in 4. I don’t think I would have got it otherwise.

I knew the word. I think I first heard about it as a child when I learned about oakum picking, the resulting fibre was used as caulk for ships.

Milo, i'm surprised your joiner used it. My experience is that they leave it to the decorator to fill all the gaps :-(

I must be doing a different Wordle as the word for today I got in three. Counting the first word I put in as No.1, the second No.2 and then I got it but it is obviously not what you are all getting. I will not post my correct answer until tomorrow as there may be others who have my version.
