Nicola Not A Happy Bunny
It seems our beloved first minister did not put on her happy face when meeting Boris today in Scotland,Boris will not agree to a second referendum on independence for Scotland,he said the first result should stand and he is right,in my opinion.

Were it not for the SNP and Mr Blair's preposterous devolution arrangements I doubt I'd hold such a view, Jim (despite the extra English money it costs to keep the Scots in the manner to which they have become accustomed). I've no particular wish to see the break-up of the UK, but since successive governments have been unwilling or unable to tackle the ludicrous “Barnett” formula (discredited even by its own author) and have added to that insult by failing to address the West Lothian question I think the time has come to call it a day.
Scotland is home to about 8% of the UK’s population. It has its own Parliament which enjoys control over substantial sums of budget to spend on areas of policy devolved from Westminster. It has 59 MPs at Westminster who enjoy the privilege of voting on matters that affect only England. Public spending on the Scots is about £2,000 per head greater than on the English. No other 8% of the population enjoys anything like that level of privilege but we have the continual whingeing of Ms Sturgeon and her pals, complaining that they are hard done by and oppressed by their masters in England.
The United Kingdom was all fine and dandy when it was based on fairness and equality. Mr Blair drove a coach and horses through those attributes when he introduced his devolution arrangements. So, enough is enough. Let them have their independence so long as their “leaving deal” does not involve even more lorry loads of English fivers being carted up the M6.
