Oh dear, some of the women say that it will encourage male MPs to leer at their breasts, I suppose these are the same women who don their extremely low cut gowns, when socialising?

What a pity they don't live in the real world eh?

Quite a few of us who do inhabit the real world, me included, wear name badges as part of our jobs- whether we'd really want to or not.

Suck it up ladies, and find something more important to whinge about.
Oh FGS - nearly all of us wear ID badges all day long. Grow up.
Yes, as Boo said, suck it up. I have to wear a security tag round my neck all day, not content with just my name, it's also got my (horrible) picture on it. Plays havoc if you want to wear a nice necklace as well ;)
Phwoar! Look at the badge on that!

I doubt it.

Perhaps Burkas for all female Commons staff, sorted.
yeah Bessie Braddock I recollect had a huge pair to ogle

but I dont think she had a photo pass
As this is the DM, I am far from sure how big this so-called "revolt" is. My instinct tells me that it will be a mountain made out of a molehill. ( I may have made an inadvertent joke there ! )

However, I will say this. If some women are so keen not to be ogled, why do they insist on showing as much cleavage as it is possible to show ? Don't get me wrong....I think it can brighten up a day rather nicely.

But what if us men were to find some way of showing the impression our testicles make, when choosing clothes to wear every morning ? What sympathy could we expect from the Sisters if we did that and then complained afterwards that people were looking ?

Are Opera glasses still widely used by Opera's female audiences?
...Ouch.
They are indeed AOG !

I remember seeing a performance of a Russian opera, "Boris Godunov" in 1998, in Cardiff. For some reason best known to the Producer, one of the principles had to appear naked on the stage and sing his bit. There was a great deal of use of the opera glasses, mostly but not entirely by ladies in the audience that night.
I can see this idea going tits up...
Can we use that word agchristie ?...wow...I would have thought it might have been banned and replaced by a lot of asterixis ( or should that be asterixi ? )
Mikey, I couldn't resist it! Did think it would be censored though ;-)
We are all in a mad mood today !
As I always say when confronted by a woman wearing a name badge pinned to her bosom ''what's the name of the other one ?''
I suppose many MP's won't have to worry about it when they lose their seats!

MPs won't be forced to wear them, it is only members of the Commons staff who will be effected.

*** The badge plan has also caused anger because it will not apply to MPs themselves. ***

AOG

Ah, yes indeed!
