So I will post this new story here instead.

This amused me - an I fully understand the guy's rage at such a thing being said to him in an almost robotic fashion.

Forgive me for any spelling mistakes - my eyes need to go to bed.

Think he had a perfectly valid point!
So he was tossed off?!
I can see his point, but no need for him to get huffy.....enough to get tossed off! or tossed off even!
Plonker.....☺......I wouldn't want to be on a plane with someone as volatile as this idiot......especially as I am wont to sing jolly Christmas songs when flying.....x

This story is being 'debated' in the News section http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/News/Question1389241.html

I am an atheist, I don't really celebrate Christmas but it is a really magical time for children and families. This guy was a bit of an idiot.

Total idiot.

I don't celebrate Christmas as such but you get time off work so it's ideal for get togethers.
I saw that, Wolf.....but it's getting personal rather than being "debated" so I prefer to comment here......

Whether he celebrates or not.....it's still flipping Christmas so what harm to be greeted cheerily......☺
Anybody says "Happy Holidays" to me in anything other than an obviously 'ironic' manner is going to get some mild earache.

Regardless of whether you are Christian or not (I'm not), the festival is Christmas and the appropriate greeting is "Merry/Happy Christmas" - not some mealy mouthed 'offend no-one' neologism.

But I'm polite and happy, so won't be getting tossed off anything/anywhere anytime soon ...
