Pretty sure Buenchicho was about earlier.
It would be a nice idea to find out where some people have gone though. |
People drop out when their work takes them elsewhere, that's been commented on before - or when they find something more interesting to do.
It's easy enough to check people's most recent posts from their profiles, to see when they last posted, if they said they were going to be sitting in a field somewhere for a few weeks - or in hospital. |
I'm worried about Albags. I've emailed him and text him and have got no reply :-(
...so Ed emailing him wouldn't make any difference then, ummm.... :-(
Unlikely...

Plus loads of people sign up with an email address they don't use.
Perhaps if this was seen as compromising privacy Ed, might consider either having it as a poll, or sending it out within the next news letter. Ron, I think having Ed assure us all is well is a good thing, we have all missed users at some time.

i think many would be a bit miffed to get such an email asking where you are... its nobody elses business, and we are not obliged to be here...this is a website that people use as an when they have time or the inclination.
some would take it in the spirit, others would take offence - feel badgered perhaps...especially if there was some major reason for their absense and what is considered an absense? one week?. 2 weeks? a month? most people come and go depending on work, life etc |
I'd love to think someone might miss me if I wasn't on for a while
People do come and go, I have over the years though there have been some sad explanations too. It can be worrying though if a very regular poster disappears with no explanation and out of character.
I was just thinking of Ethel the other day, did anyone ever hear from her after she last posted? |
I do wonder too where folk go ...xx
I wouldn't want to be chased up if I wasn't on here for a while.

What happened to Carlton?
Thanks chi-chi

Carlton certainly appears to have 'looked-in' yesterday, but I have been unable to find any actual posting from him.:-

if I don't appear for a couple of weeks you have full permission to look under my patio..or that new rose bed that has appeared in the garden !!!!

Ron....on his Profile...last posting 2. may.
It's on his original posting, top of page, from March, titled Bloods. |
He certainly did, I've just posted a reply to him.

| I think a missing persons page would be a good idea. |
| I think we should have a Missing Persons box where we can report ABers who have mysteriously disappeared. If Ed has them in the dungeon we ought to know but if they've sneaked away on a jolly... |
| I am sorry if this has been asked before, but would it not be a good idea to have a missing person's section on this site? Maybe it would be best to call them lost contacts as opposed to missing... |
| Viv and Ron's question set me thinking. Could we harness AB to do some real good? Perhaps have a section where we could try to trace truly missing people.... |
| i went into webinvestigator.org .all records is this a free web or do they charge you when u sign up confused its sign up or register or is there another site i can look up missing persons any help... |
