morning, Tuesday and the days are flying by, I hope you are all in good health and that your day is a good one, do you have anything planned for today? I am hoping the forecast for the capital is correct as it's a predicted sunny 24c, which means i might actually get out for an hour or so.
Morning, Emmie. I hope that you get out today with the temp going up to 24. We're going up to 27 today with a humidex of 32. Once a year the fire department checks out each unit in the complex for working smoke-detectors, and my place is scheduled for inspection sometime today, so I'll stay home. If you don't have a working smoke-detector the fine is $400!
it is a legal requirement to have inter linked alarms in all main living areas plus kitchen and halls here in Scotland now... cost nearly £300 to get them a few months ago.
Morning, MM, that's not rain it's liquid sunshine...Get out there and enjoy it:) I have two smoke alarms, one in the kitchen and one in the hallway outside the main bedroom and they're both working. By the way, there's a brilliant full-moon outside my windows.
morning Minty, i don't have any smoke alarms though i guess it would be a good idea, but there doesn't seem to be any directive from the council to have them installed.
a little rain doesn't bother me San but it is biblical at times.. lol and I can't use any power equipment like cutters mowers etc in the rain.. hedge is on hold 'till we get a dry day now
most Fire stations offer a safety inspection of residences and in some places fit alarms free if you are considered vulnerable, might be worth checking out emmie.as your infirmity/mobility issues may put you in that category
