... to the famous female osprey, affectionately known by many as 'LADY, ...
Question Author
Laddie is Lady's breeding partner.

Lady has yet to return.
He's a big lad, Yilly.
Question Author
He is Yont. It's a shame we can't see his head!
I know, I think that they should tilt the camera a touch.
Question Author
They will, eventually.
Question Author
He needs to get some housekeeping done and not let the grass grow under his feet.
Brilliant news, tilly - we have been keeping an eye on the site as they are guessing from past years that Lady could be back any time now (if, amazingly, she gets back).

They do comment that they've had some trouble with the webcam, awaiting technical help.
Looks like he's gone fishing now.
Question Author
Yes, Yont. There's a sign on the door.

Nibble, if Lady does come back it will be another miracle!
Still waiting for any female, Laddie's working hard getting the nest ready!
Tilly when did Lady's latest partner get named Laddie? I remember him just being known by his number and if I could remember what that was I'd tell you LOL.
I think it was last year, it seemed appropriate - but I too remember him just being known by his number (as were the two chicks who were being tracked).
I seem to remember the male who became her mate bringing massive branches into the nest and also them pushing out the eggs that weren't going to hatch. Very sad. Is that Laddie?
Question Author
LB, the eggs got pushed out of the nest at Rutland Water. They were Blue 28 and Maya's eggs. Blue 28 had a bad wing and was unable to fight off the other male osprey who drove him, and his eggs from the nest.

Blue 28 came back today.
Question Author
The male that drove him out was Blue 33, just remembered.
Yes Tilly thank you, of course. My memory - oh dear! I did think the male was number 33 though. Just wrong nest wrong place, wrong female:-(

Beautiful picture at the moment.
