no, not at all Tony,they filter it all out. None of them there are ever hooded either and they're all flown free regularly- ie tipped out to fend for themselves - for days at a time.
The feeding thing was funny. One of the kids asked what they eat and the falconer, holding a lump of dead chick, said deadpan "turkey poults." The little'un, no wiser, just said "o, right" and carried on
