Yes, NoM, the old adage of you make a first impression in the first 15 secs - I think you do here as well, with an impression set by the first contributions, some of which are way off the mark as demo-ed by many here!

Yes, I think one should be judicious to begin with, says he(!) and then, even when you pull back, folk can easily misconstrue - such as last night - for whatever reason of booze, emotions in their lives, raw buttons, whatever...........

If you give out your real name you must be mad......but then there are some genuine folk on here and that can mean real friends if you network through the back door, hopefully as you have found.....(or I hope that you have).

honestly no... a few are n0bheads on here but I don't hold it against them or judge them because their opinion is different to mine.

I do always listen to others and always respect and value opinions, however off side they may seem at the time.

Some are very NoM. Although I think a problem can be not seeing the tongue in cheek in an answer and jumping. I think I did that with Snags when I was still fuming from the vitriol I had witnessed on a different thread.

Yes and yes. I'd include myself in that but I tend to keep my judgements to myself until I have more information, good or bad. I also don't think it's exclusive to on here, although possibly people tend to be 'braver'.

It doesn't change how I word my posts though as I've always been naturally lacking in tact, even when I'm trying my very hardest to be tactful (it's usually worse then my friends inform me). It does mean I'm a pretty private person though with my own stuff, but then I'm also like that off here as well. I think I'm probably not a particularly open person in general and I imagine it occasionally comes over on here.
