Missed Chris's prog will try to find it on catch up... I never get tired of the red kites...its always the best bit about the journey to and from london
Thanks redman, But WHY no Sprongwatch on Friday sulk, sulk
Rowan, I agree, I never tire of any bird, let alon the Red Kites, which we do get in the South Downs, but not as many as I'd like..............Love MHG new hair cut :)
Last night's Programme was enjoyable as usual. The only criticism I have is the report on the Beavers in Argyll interesting though it was. There is more than enough to go on at their location in Mid-Wales without the need to explore other locations in the UK.
They can use Springwatch Unsprung to highlight what viewers throughout the UK are reporting.
As far as swooning is concerned, NO Kate Humble does not do it for me, not my type at all. Good Presenter though as all of them are !!!
If I see someone struggling through the mud at Ynis Hir to get at MH-G I know it will be Rowan !!! lol
The Webcams are very good and I have them Open in a separate Tab........always something happening.
'morning, all. Must admit, I agree with you, redman, about the beaver thing. I got fed up with it last night. They really should concentrate on the wildlife in the area around Ynys-Hir, I think - much more interesting! And where are the ospreys? I've been following the Dyfi Osprey Project on the internet and it's amazing. K x
hopefully during the course of this series they will have a Webcam near the nest as it's only a short distance away from their base.
Keep an eye on their live Webcams which are excellent.
Earlier start tonight at 7.30pm followed by Unsprung at 8.30pm. It's a shame that Unsprung is only on for 1 night per week, if my memory serves me correctly I'm pretty sure it was on more often in other series of Springwatch.
Looking at the Webcams this morning, those Redstart chicks are real Stars. They are a restless lot and should fledge this week.
How many Woodpeckers are there in that Nest ? 3 have gone but there is at least 1 left.
These cams are great !
Late tuning in today I'm afraid and got to go out soon. I'm wondering have all the Woodpeckers gone now? And were they all male babies with the red spot?
I agree far too much beavering....a trip to the sand dunes at Ynyslas would be good too lots of rabbits and foxes and smaller mammals so cute babies to see and the DYfi estuary is pretty good for waders...
