I have something i'm watching -very low -no bids but when I bid it may start a bidding war with 50mins to go i'd like to get it as near as 49p as poss :)

I'm right in the middle of doing that now... Basically I don't bid. I absolutely never bid but watch the item like a hawk and settle a price in my head of how much I'm willing to go to. I then either go on goofbay and add my maxium bid to be put on within one second of closing or if I'm around do it myself. I think bidding just enters you in to a price war and I'm far too tight for that nonsense ;0)

Cheers CD and boxy -it was skiper I was looking for -i wouldnt use it if it was a crucial item but B00 and others swear by it.I m going in -i'll report back:)

Oh, I wouldn't do it automatically - it takes all the excitement out of it! I usually enter my amount with a minute to go, but don't hit confirm till there's about 10 seconds left. It's the only thrill I get these days ;)

I registered with snipe but its just searching American things and not what I want.I didnt set the time zone cos I didnt understand it -that may be why.Great idea will use it but now only have less than 20mins so will just go on stand by:)
