John Lewis released a Christmas ad which showed a boy taking a stocking of presents out to his dogs kennel. Viewers made complaints that this depicated animal cruelty because it was 'snowing' and the dog was outside. JL have agreed to remove this section from their ad. So, are these people who complained just people with nothing better to do or does it really encourage cruelty to animals?

Have to admit that I have forgotten how very cold in gets in England, and so in that case, I would allow a dog in the house.
