Rabbits are very clean animals and do not smell. They are also more intelligent than most people think. They will chew through cables though. My lodger's rabbit chewed through her telephone cable, I didn't mind a bit.
What mum says goes? How about that.
i have 2 lovely house rabbits called buddy and daisy. they are both lionheads and can be very playfull, and naughty at times, but i wouldnt part with them for the world, maybe if your nephew was going to get a house rabbit he should start with a lop as they are more laid back.
