Tasmanian Devil

I feel really sorry for Tasmanian Devils, as I was reading in the paper this morning, they are more than likely to become extinct in the next decade.  Some form of cancer is killing them off rather quickly, most times within only a few weeks of it getting into their system.  Does anyone know much about these tiny creatures?

I know they're pretty vicious little things.  Kinda cute but you wouldn't want to stroke one.

I watched a group of them for quite a while in an enclosure in an Australian conservation zoo.  The keeper went in with them and, boy, are they frightening.  But I couldn't help but like them - they had loads of character.  They are not very tiny! the size of a Jack Russell, but fatter!  It's uch a shame that they are threatened.  Hopefully, they will find a cure and help them.
