Hi, wondering if anyone can help me... i have just found a small pale blue (intact) bird egg on my front lawn under the tree. I have checked and there is no nest in the tree. I have looked at the egg against the sunshine, and thought i may have seen a heatbeat/pulse, but could have been my eyes. It has one round end and one pointy end, there are no markings on the egg. ....i'm keeping it warm for now, but what then should i do with it? ...Many thanks!!!!

sounds like a sparrows egg, can't advise you how to deal with it though
Sounds like a Dunnock egg also known as a hedge sparrow, don't bother with it mascott, you cannot do anything with it. Flush it down the loo
is there a cuckoo in your area ?
I am afraid that if you do not know what type of bird it is from there is nothing you can do except as Islowry. Even if it is fertile and you find a nest of the same species of bird, it will almost certainly hatch early or late so will not survive.
You should call a local animal group to see what they think, they might take it from you and incubate it.
