should my frogs and toads go to specsavers?

In our garden pond today, i have counted 10 frogs and toads! + 2 big dollops of frogspawn!

Why are the frogs mating with toads, and the toads mating with the frogs.?

Its hilarious to watch, and it has been going on for the last few days .

never noticed the change in gender before , haha

its not that i dont think that they arnt fascinating its just the way they leap out !!!!

ha ha ha yes they do leap out accasionally!
if you could see them now, all bunched up together, right near the frogspawn, its faniscinating to watch them. Their really keeping guard.
But why mate with other species?

eurgh toads... gross me out!
I was gardening quite happily.. tidying up some leaves and found THREE in separate areas!
Each discovery was accompanied by a shrill scream.. in the end I was a nervous wreck.. so gave up the gardening!!!
I was PARANOID I would end up spearing one with my garden fork.. erugh!!!

oh nasha 123. can just imagine your fright when they jumped out & and screamed at you, haha. it must be awfull to be scared of them, and I'm so glad that they dont frighten me one bit x
