How much what?

Thanks Jason for that info. It seems to suggest that volcano eruptions can REDUCE the effect of global warming by blocking out the suns rays even though the amount of Co2 is increased.

If that is the case could global warming increased because fewer volcanos are belching out than in the past?
Atmospheric conditions like volcanic eruptions, the suns output, the proxity of the Earth to the sun (Milankovitch cycles) are all part of the models used to examine climate change.

These models correctly predict past climate changes but they don't work for the current one. That only works correctly when you factor in human emissions of greenhouse gasses.

Do you think that the large research facilities with supercomputer simulations and thousands of research hours haven't just waved their hands and said "Lets just ignore volcanoes"?

You'll have to come up with something a bit more revolutionary than that.

The Cosmic rays idea was a bit more revolutionary - unfortunately that turned out to be simply wrong

Computer simulations were present when the older scientists in our midst predicted global cooling just 30 years ago. At that time we had an industrial revolution mainly dependent on coal so why did man made emissions not make an impression.

Come on Jake, you are a scientist are you not. We all know how it works! There is a problem of global warming, make a stab at the possible causes. Then grind out figures to support the hypothesis. Unfortunately the figures fell short at East Anglia university so the figures were doctored. So in a very short space of time we have scientists doing a 180deg somersault and the fiddling of the figures. Maybe the scientists were right 30 years ago and obviously you would have supported them.

You don't need to be an outright sceptic to see even scientists can be wrong or hoodwinked.

Don't just tale my word about volcanos causing global cooling. What about NASA's fact sheet?

Didn't I read resently that human co2 emmisions account for something like less than.002% of all greenhouse gasses?

And apparently the models they have been using are flawed and are way off the mark and it isn't as bad as the 'experts' have been ramming down our throats?
