I am so sad, my cat has been gone all day. The last time he was seen was at 7.45 this morning. I know its not really that long but it's completely out of character for him. We have had him since he was a kitten for 3 years and he has never been away for this long. He normally goes in and out alot at night but spends most the day in the house. I have been looking for him today but to no avail. He is neutered and microchipped. Should someone find him dead at the roadside would we be notified because of the microchip? I don't really know how it works. We don't really live close to a busy road, there is alot of grassed area and quiet streets near us but he's nowhere to be seen. If anyone has any constructive advice that would be great, thanks.

No consolation I know, but we have a cat and he disappeared for 3days and came back as if nothing had happened.

I am sure that yours will do the same.
Letter through you neighbours door to check there garage and sheds . missing posters on lamp post with pic . Good luck >'.'<
He's out on the 'pull'. If he is killed (hope not for your sake) the body wont be checked for micro-chip.

He's back the little bugger! He walked through the catflap just as I was going downstairs last night looking absolutely fine so panic over. He was warm as well so I reckon he must have been shut in someone's house all day! We were pleased to see him! My 5 yr old even drew lots of pictures of her, the cat and hearts all around it so guess she was relieved too!
tigwig....well done........see, I told "yer"
Yep, cats are the masters of the disappear and then reappear act. lol
Glad he's back tigwig My cat disapeared for a few weeks and then turned up locked in my broken down car parked at the back of the house, he was only about 4 then, he's 12 now and still jumps in the car if I leave the door open!
