Hiya

I've always kept rodents, including mice and whilst they are a tiny bit stinky it's bearable as long as you keep their cages clean and swept out their bedding often.

My mice were never keen on cheese infact 9 times out of 10 they'd leave it, they did however love chocolate :-)
Cheese can actually be dangerous for rodents as it is invariably made with cow's milk which is very high in fat, rodents can't process fat they way humans can and it can lead to death quite quickly.......and as B00 said, most rodents don't even like cheese.
Bigs budgies ate cheese
start with 1pair & by end of month you have 50mice! If you crowd them they become cannibals.
Cats love cheese,I have had them claw their way up my leg before just to get hold of a nibble of cheese.lol
