My Crissie Lou has an liver problem w/high ALP enzyme (1700 reading. She is under care of an excellent vet. I thought I could get some comfort if anyone else has gone thru this. She is large girl (90 #), mixed German Shep., 9 yrs old. She has had 2-ultra sounds, vet did not find anything yet. At one time, many months ago, she did get cocicidimiosis (sp), a fungus thing, and was treated. Could that particular disease affect her now.l I did google liver disease and all I could get , is that cocicidimiosis(sp) does affect the liver. It did not say how, it did said coci.... was difficult to treat but it did not seem so with the med. the vet gave her it went away fast. She is under all the best treatments, liver vitamins, ursodial, and Sam-E.
